Hop-on to unveil its Google Android phone at CES

Ultra-low cost phone manufacturer Hop-on today announced that it plans to unveil a new Android powered device at the 2009 CES show in Las Vegas this coming January.

Hop-on is probably best know for its disposable cell phones.

Hop-on’s CEO, Peter Michaels, was quoted in the announcement as stating:

“Hop-on is committed in bringing the latest technology to the market, the Android open platform makes Hop-on competitive in the high end mobile phone market. This will create market value for our shareholders.”

No details about the device have been revealed so far.  The 2009 CES show runs from January 8th through the 11th.
