Rumors are swirling that Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC is setting the stage to launch the first Android phone. As a founding member of the Open Handset Alliance, HTC was the first to present a Google Android prototype handset called the “Dream”.

HTC is hosting a launch event in London on May 6, but has yet to say exactly what they are launching. Our friends over at MobileBurn will be there to cover the event live.
