AT&T now interested in Google Android phones

It seems that now that AT&T’s CEO, Ralph de la Vega, has had a chance to see some of the newer Google Android phone demos at events like Mobile World Congress and CTIA, he and the company are keenly interested (see last paragraph) in seeing Android based phones on the AT&T network.

Since the company already has devices running pretty much every other platform on the planet (Symbian/S60, Windows Mobile, Palm, etc), this makes good sense.

De la Vega didn’t seem to say when exactly we would see the Android based devices on America’s largest carrier, though.
