Puzzles, horror, and zombie shooting come with new release In Darkness (video)

With some decent graphics, In Darkness delivers a fun shooter based around shooting zombies. While senseless slaughter of the undead never seems to get old, the game brings puzzles and more to help keep it fun.

It appears as though shooting zombies will never get old. From the big console releases to smaller Android ones, shooting undead people en masse just seems to bring a lot of joy to gamers. SimpleStudioGames has taken the concept and put their own spin on it with In Darkness. A zombie shooter that also includes puzzles and elements of adventure and horror.

In Darkness seems to do a little more than most mobile zombie shooters. The graphics aren’t bad and some gamers have likened it to Borderlands. While not quite that great, the game doesn’t look too bad. You can see for yourself in the game trailer posted at the bottom.

What is the premise of In Darkness?

This is the quintessential zombie experience. Things have gone horribly wrong and you are alone in a zombie apocalypse trying to get to safety. Based on scenes from the trailer, our guess is that December 21, 2012 turned out wildly different in this game than it actually did. To add to the atmosphere, the game takes place almost entirely underground.

The game costs $1.00 USD in the Google Play Store, but you can demo it for free. To be perfectly honest, the trailer didn’t make the look sound very exciting and reviews in the Google Play Store seem to agree. So try the demo before buying it! Has anyone given it a try and is it any good?
