It appears as though shooting zombies will never get old. From the big console releases to smaller Android ones, shooting undead people en masse just seems to bring a lot of joy to gamers. SimpleStudioGames has taken the concept and put their own spin on it with In Darkness. A zombie shooter that also includes puzzles and elements of adventure and horror.

In Darkness seems to do a little more than most mobile zombie shooters. The graphics aren’t bad and some gamers have likened it to Borderlands. While not quite that great, the game doesn’t look too bad. You can see for yourself in the game trailer posted at the bottom.

What is the premise of In Darkness?

This is the quintessential zombie experience. Things have gone horribly wrong and you are alone in a zombie apocalypse trying to get to safety. Based on scenes from the trailer, our guess is that December 21, 2012 turned out wildly different in this game than it actually did. To add to the atmosphere, the game takes place almost entirely underground.

The game costs $1.00 USD in the Google Play Store, but you can demo it for free. To be perfectly honest, the trailer didn’t make the look sound very exciting and reviews in the Google Play Store seem to agree. So try the demo before buying it! Has anyone given it a try and is it any good?

lol comments on the youtube trailer need approval by the author -.-
The trailer is pretty f***** bad. They should have invested more on that end.

I wish we could get a good survival horror game ie The first two Resident Evil games. Not that RE4 is a bad game….. Buy with the scare element of the first two!

  • This is actually one of the more fun FPS games for Android I’ve played to date. The trailer shows the actual gameplay, so I guess if you were expecting a movie you’d be disappointed.

Dave, maybe not a movie lol, but maybe a better representation of the game itself. Maybe a shot or two of doing puzzles, or maybe a few seconds of a more intense part of the game.
