Let’s face it, it’s difficult to find a well-made music player app. There are tons of them on the Google Play Store that can charm you when you’re just reading about what it can do and the reviews that people have left. Maybe it’ll charm you all the way to downloading it to your device. But once you get the app on your Android device, you’ll realize that it’s just not for you because it doesn’t pack the things you need.

We’ve discovered a new music player app that may interest you. Introducing Idrod Music, a multimedia player for your music, audio, photos, and videos. If you’ve ever owned an iPod Classic, then I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.

Developed by Generis Apps, the Idrod Music app is a promising multimedia player. When you launch it, you’ll be instantly hit with nostalgia. The app has the look and the feel of Apple’s portable media player, but that’s not all. Even the app’s GUI is like that on the iPod Classic.

If you want to customize the app, you can change the player’s background color to one of the 9 different colors available. Pick a color to suit your mood or to match whatever you’re wearing.

Like the iPod Classic’s user interface, Idrod Music has two sections. The upper part is the display and the lower part are the controls. You have your Pause/Play button, as well as your Next and Previous buttons. You also have the Back/Return button and a Select button in the middle. Similar to the iPod Classic, you’ll need to dial your finger on the button wheel to scroll through the menu.

You can view fullscreen videos or photos by pressing the middle button after selecting a video or photo. You can create a random playlist and you can add a song to a playlist by pressing and holding down the middle button. You can also instantly search for a song.

Don’t worry about your music library being a mess because songs are sorted by artist, album, year, and more. Like a regular music player, you can set your songs to play randomly, to repeat a song, or even replay all the songs in a playlist.

Idrod Music can play a variety of file formats, such as MP4, MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV, 3GP, MID, XMF, FLAC, ACC, MKV, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, and WEBP.

The app also supports a variety of languages: Español, Français, Deutsch, English, Italiano, Nederlands, Magyar, Chinese, Türçe, Norsk, Portugues, Čěstina, Polki, Dansk, and Svenska. Whatever language you speak, chances are Idroid supports it.

Inject a little bit of iPod Classic nostalgia into your music experience with the Idrod Music Free app. Download it from the Google Play Store, or purchase its ad-free version, Idrod Music.
