Hush Gallery review

What is Hush Gallery?

Hush Gallery is a privacy application that allows you to hide your photos and videos from others. It not only hides it from your gallery application but also from other apps such as Whatsapp and social media. It’s currently free in the Google Play Store with a single $1.00 in app purchase option.

Here’s how Hush Gallery works. You use a file manager or your gallery app to browse through your photos and videos. Anything that you want to hide, you simply share it with Hush Gallery. From that point forward, Hush Gallery takes control of those items and hides them from other apps. You can then set a password in Hush Gallery to protect them from being seen. It’s a simple premise with simple execution that pretty much anyone can do. The interesting part is that you can do this from any application since most apps have a “share” function. That makes it really easy to deposit images and videos directly to Hush Gallery from other apps.

There are a few other features as well. You can set a passcode to prevent prying eyes from seeing your sensitive photos and videos. There is also a separate view for photos and videos to help you stay organized and you can always unhide any photos or videos. The UI is decent even if it feels a little old and gets the job done. Perhaps the best part of this app is that it is pretty self explanatory. It does what it says it does.

It’s a free app and the in app purchases is only $1 so it’s not like you’re wasting anything if you want to check it out. There are other apps that can do this kind of stuff but this seems like something more simple and it’s a good option if you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles.
