The Hulu Plus app for Android that provides instant access to TV shows and movies to users who have subscribed to the service has received a major update in the Play Store. The update brings several improvements including a new Kids section and better discovery tools that make it easier to find content.

The new Hulu Kids section added to the app provides ad-free content that is specifically targeted towards youngsters. Kids can now enjoy SpongeBob SquarePants, Kung Fu Panda, Caillou and many other titles by accessing them through their own dedicated section. The app now enables parents to restrict children to the Kids section and prevent them from accessing other content using the kids lock feature.

The update also brings new trays that helps in discovering TV clips, movies, and shows easier than it was before.

If you own a Motorola Droid RAZR HD then you will be pleased to know that an issue with video playback has been fixed and the app will now work fine on your device. Alongside all the other changes, minor bug fixes and performance improvements have also been added to Hulu Plus app.
