Over at CommunicAsia 2009, Huawei are staying true to their word and are right on track for an alleged Q3 launch of their Android powered smartphone this year. Things certainly look that little bit more mature and the latest renders give the device a rather glamorous finish. Unfortunately, we still do not have very much information in the way of specifications for you. However, it is thought that the newly named U8230 will pack a 3.5inch touchscreen along with its 1500mAh battery. The rendering would suggest that the phone sports a 3.2MP camera, but it would also suggest that there is no flash. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. The front facing camera on the render is warmly received, and the BlackBerry style trackball navigation may prove popular too.
Unfortunately, at the moment we have no word on a specific release date or whether the device is pushing some serious power under the hood. Watch this space.
