No matter how hard a company tries to keep something under wraps, it never quite works out that way. With that in mind, Evleaks has now leaked a press shot of the as-of-yet unconfirmed Huawei Ascend G700.
The G700 might not be as jaw-droppingly awesome (or crazy?) as some of their other recent efforts like the Huawei Ascend Mate, but it does appear to be a reasonably decent looking 5-inch handset. While the above photo comes from Evleaks, the actual hardware details come from another reliable leaker, paopa00128.
So what does the G700 feature? We know that the processor inside is a MediaTek MT6589 SoC. We also know that it has 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch display, and will feature Android 4.2. It will also have a two versions, one that supports WCDMA and another supporting TD-SCDMA. Beyond that? We don’t know much else.
We can make a few educated guesses, though. More than likely, this is an entry or mid-range device. That means it will probably not be full HD, instead just 720p. That also means it will probably price around the U.S. equivalent of $300, especially considering the G-series’ pricing history.
For now we can’t say when this will be arriving, but once these kinds of leaks start surfacing, it is only a matter of time before the device becomes official.
