The rumor behind this has quite a lot of basis to it. With HTC’s official Youtube channel confirming its partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre and uploading a teaser on being able to “feel the music the way the artist intended,” many suspect that the first-ever Beats phone might be the HTC Vigor — the HTC phone reported for an October 5 release by Verizon. Two months might be enough time to fully integrate the Beats feature in the smartphone, but the question remains: will the integration really make the HTC Vigor sound better than the rest of the pack?
The answer remains a mystery, for now. The speculations however only lead to higher anticipation for the HTC Vigor, which is already reported to have stellar specs. It has a 4.3″ screen of 1280×720 resolution, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, and 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. Software-wise ,it is said to run on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with the latest version of HTC Sense, in 3.5. While it we know it is the phone set to replace the HTC Thunderbolt, we can also infer that it will most certainly have 4G connectivity on board, too.
As the Vigor might come with the Beats integration, it will also, in all likelihood come with a Beats logo to identify itself as a Beats by Dr. Dre device. HTC has not said much, however, on how the phone will perform, especially with fans believing that this might result in overpriced phones, fast-draining batteries, and other problems. HTC however believes that this will lead to “superior mobile audio experiences.” It should, especially because they reportedly invested a whopping $300 million to buy a 51% stake in Beats Electronics.
We all await how HTC, and possibly the HTC Vigor, will groove to a new Beats audio solution. Until then, we only have a video that assures that this partnership is Boom Boom Pow for everyone.
