HTC Sense 3.5 Previewed [Video]

Just a few short days ago, our own in-house Android guru, and prescient technology trend predictor, Lucian,  caught wind of HTC’s latest iteration of their Sense overlay. Today, the same folks over at XDA.cn have been able to get a hands-on video that offers us a clear picture that HTC is indeed on the right track. They have rightly earned their place at the top spot of the overlay podium for creating a beautiful and intuitive overlay. Steadily improved with each progressive update, this newest version looks to be even snappier than before. What’s more is that it is running on the HTC Bliss – a phone targeted towards women with less than stellar specs. This bodes well for the best devices of yesteryear as it means devices like the HTC EVO 4G and others will be able to run it without breaking too much of a sweat.

While the video itself isn’t shot on an HD camcorder, it is clear enough to show us what to expect, and it looks to be an improvement. The fact that it is running so smoothly on a device with mediocre specs is enough to get us excited.

How about you? What do you think about overlays? Remember, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is rumored to have a theming engine, so, you will be able to potentially change up the look and feel of your Android device in the near future with a few quick flicks of the finger – no rooting required.
