the diligent folks at Pocketnow have found a very interesting “user profile” that details an upcoming QWERTY dual core Android 2.3 in the works. Dubbed the HTC Doubleshot, it is going to be coming with the…
The HTC Sensation 4G is poised to be one of 2011′s most powerful, most beautiful, and most sought after Android smartphones. We most recently compared two of 2011′s hottest and most technologically sophisticated devices – the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S II. Check out our detailed comparison here, it’s closer than you think!
For the HTC Sensation, we can expect the latest end user experience, and it’s a premium at that. The HTC Sensation will have HTC Sense 3.0 on board with Android 2.3 Gingerbread too, and all the refinements and speed it brings. HTC Sense itself is looking as beautiful as ever, and allows you to see a lot of great information from your lock screen, minimizing the amounts of swips and swipes it takes to see information that is important to you.
Really though, the speed of the HTC Sensation is amazing. Everything just pops and snaps into place almost instantaneously. Speed really is of the essence with the HTC Sensation and, with its dual-core Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor on board, we think you will be really impressed. Transitions beautifully present 3D style animations, akin to what what HTC already put on its Flyer tablet. While not as color-tastic as the Samsung Galaxy S II’s Super AMOLED Plus display,, the Super LCD display, at 4.3 inches with qHD resolution and contoured glass look simply marvelous. Furthermore, its contoured glass display will prevent reflection, and inhibit scratches from making their way onto your new baby. Additionally, it has a 16:9 aspect ratio that lets watch movies as they were “intended to be seen”. It also comes with a 0.3MP VGA camera on front to allow for video chats and self-portraits, and it seems as though the resolution is more than sufficient.
Also, you should know that the HTC Sensation 4G has a 8MP camera on board too – and it takes great quality pictures for a smartphone, and full 1080p video too. The speed of this camera is truly amazing, as it takes the picture the instant the shutter is snapped – with no lag. There is also a dual-LED flash for night time shots too.
The leaked internal T-Mobile memo from a dealer shows us that we can anticipate for the HTC Sensation 4G to launch on June 8th, 2011. While no pricing details were revealed, we do have reports that Target will be offering the model for $199.99 on a 2 year contract and could be gearing up for a June 12th launch for the phone.
Stay tuned! What do you think – Sensation or Galaxy S II?
