HTC seems to be really going out of its way to somehow overshadow the Galaxy S3’s unveiling set to take place in London today and is just throwing special deals and promotions at us. Vodafone UK’s One X and S had their prices slashed recently and, today, US smartphone lovers have their own reasons to be happy with HTC. T-Mobile’s Sensation 4G is available for a limited time only for free (with contract), which is a fabulous deal anyway you look at it.

The Sensation might not be as snappy and elegant as the One X, but is still a pretty great gadget and, it will most likely satisfy your thirst for technology, without paying a dime.

On the other hand, if you think of getting T-Mobile’s Sensation 4G and for some reason you’re not sure it’s the right phone for you, you should make a decision really fast! The 4.3-incher will only be available for free today exclusively on T-Mobile’s website.

Today is the big day for the Galaxy S3 too, with the future Sammy flagship phone being unveiled in London, and, while we have no way to know if that pushed HTC to offer this great deal, we find the timing of the promotion a little to precise be coincidental.

Is the Sensation 4G offered for free on account of all the hype Samsung managed to build around the S3? Probably! Do we care? I don’t think we should, as this is clearly an offer to take advantage of and not comment upon.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with what the Sensation 4G has to offer, let’s quickly recap its most important features and tech specs. With a qHD screen featuring a 540 x 960 pixels resolution, the phone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and comes with 768 MB of RAM, 1 GB of on-board storage and an 8 MP rear-facing camera.

As far as software goes, you may be disappointed to hear that the handheld is still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. On the other hand, an Android 4.0 ICS update is planned and will most likely take place in “mid-May”, according to the most recent official claims.

What are you waiting for, guys? The clock is ticking, so go check out T-Mobile’s offer right now before it's too late! And don't forget that, if you're waiting to see what the Galaxy S3 has to offer, you might lose out on one of the greatest special offers of the past couple of months!

I am tired of waiting for the at&t version. It has been 5 months since this rolled out internationally. This is the only reason I hate the official carrier version of the Galaxy S3. I understand why they need to test it, but it has been 5 months and it really does not take that long. at&t has so many customers using this phone and it only makes sense to make this update a priority. The only reason I am rocking this version over the international version is because of LTE and I love it. Common at&t, update this phone please. I don’t care if I don’t use half the features just let me and your customers know that we can rely on you to hear and support us.

The gallery is set up differently now. You have the tile viewing option arrayed vertically instead of horizontally. There is also an option to scroll the pictures into the screen, sort of a 3d browsing option, the last option is a 3d rotating spiral that filters vertically. There is a “page buddy” option under display settings. I always had the easy screen mode and blocking option. Also looks like they added a software update widget that I don’t remember being there.

There is also no more swiping to the right, in message mode or phone model, to call. I actually find that rather annoying now. I used that feature a lot. Especially in text mode or log mode.
