It has been difficult to know exactly what to make of HTC recently. The company has been touting success with the One, and is turning decent profits after months of underperforming, but today we learned…
Too excited for the official unveiling on Thursday, Verizon already has adorned its stores with flyers that feature the much-anticipated HTC Rezound. Most of everything there is to know about this device can now be confirmed, especially with a video on YouTube showcasing a prototype.
Sent by tipsters to Droid Life, the new flyers, perhaps posted early by enthusiastic Verizon employees, display three smartphones that will take advantage of the telecom’s blazingly fast LTE standard. Showing off in front is the new HTC Rezound displaying some love for Joe Jonas and equipped with Beats-compatible earbuds. Right behind it are the LG Revolution and Motorola DROID Bionic.
Formerly known by its codename, HTC Vigor, the upcoming smartphone boasts superiority in certain key specs. When launched, it will take over the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S for the highest pixel density at 342 ppi on its 720p 4.3 inch display–a 12-point difference from the iPhone’s 330 ppi.
Other specs include a 1.5-GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB internal memory, and HTC Sense 3.5 UI running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. The leaked video confirms these specs and other details, although the retail model may slightly differ from the pre-production model shown in the video.
No official release date has been announced so far, although we might be hearing from HTC soon during its fast approaching New York event.
