By Jonathan Feist February 11, 2014 0 39 118 13 Let’s do it again – you know how to do it, I’m sure you’ve done it before… at least a few times. I am talking about hitting the Check for Updates button in the system settings on your Android device. This time around, HTC One users in the Americas with unlocked and Developer editions are getting a 312MB OTA update to Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat.Advertisement An updated HTC Sense 5.5 is included in the update, with improvements for system stability and adjustment of some screen timeout settings. There are also updates to Blinkfeed, like a quick access menu and the ability to turn it off entirely, new UI elements in the system settings, focused around the location settings, with a master switch and battery usage info. Other changes are an updated gallery app, a do not disturb function, easier lockscreen widgets management and a clean up of the music app. The Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat update itself brings you security enhancements, Cloud Print services and more. My personal favorite Kit Kat feature is the full screen immersive mode – not only does the top notification bar hide, as before, but the bottom navigation bar goes away as well, for a true full screen experience. That is good and all, but now the magic, pull down from the top of the screen to display both top and bottom system bars overtop of the app. You no longer have to exit a full screen app to view your notifications. Your new Android Build number will be 4.19.1540.4. Go get it now and tell us what your favorite new feature or enhancement is? 0 39 118 previous postARM’s new Cortex-A17 processor targets mid-range devices with clock speeds over 2GHznext postMediaTek announces world’s first 4G LTE octa-core processor, can it challenge Qualcomm?
