An interesting post has appeared on the official HTC blog, which indicates that HTC has something up its sleeve which will be revealed at some point this year.
Overall, the post is full of pomp, but pretty scant on any actual hard details. It includes a brief historical overview of photography, from the origins to digital devices, and some bragging about the glory days of previous HTC products. All very nice, but we want particulars.
Perhaps the most informative detail is the mention of Nokia’s 808 PureView handset, a smartphone which packs an impressive 41 megapixels into its camera. It looks like HTC is aiming to take down Nokia’s handset, and crown itself as the king of the smartphone cameras.
This would also fit in very nicely with yesterday’s rumor that HTC is planning an “ultrapixel” smartphone camera.
There’s also a mention of a new audio experience, which could mean that HTC’s financially costly purchase of Beats Audio last year might finally be bearing some fruit. But that’s total speculation, as there’s even less indication as to exactly what HTC is planning in the audio department.
This could be an interesting month for HTC; I can’t wait and see what they come up with.

This would be a great way for HTC to try to get back in the game. Give me a class-leading camera and I promise I will give your phone some serious consideration!
Yeah I’m hoping this proves to be a top quality product too. If HTC can re-find its form it could really shake things up.

I have a feeling this is a Windows Phone “teaser”
