New leak brings Facebook phone (HTC Myst) closer to reality

by: Bams SadewoMarch 8, 2013

Some rumors just refuse to die, and in the case of the Facebook phone, the HTC-built device is about to come and hit naysayers and doubters in the face.

The leak from last time provided us with some juicy details regarding the once fabled phone, including its codename – the HTC Myst #UL (yes, really) – and specs. A new leak reveals that the Myst will pack a better processor than previously believed.

Behold, the full confirmed specs of the Zuckerberg-approved smartphone:

  • 4.3-inch display with 1,280 x 720 resolution (320 ppi)
  • Dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage (no microSD slot)
  • 5MP rear camera, 1.6MP front-facing cam
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

Will it come with a QWERTY keyboard? Will it have a dedicated button to get your Facebook on? The suspense isn’t killing us, but we don’t mind hearing and seeing more.

The release date for the HTC Myst hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it might arrive in the U.S. as early as Spring 2013, with AT&T being hinted as the possible wireless carrier partner. Can’t wait to post your new Facebook status from the Myst?

A reality I’m not sure the world is yet ready for… Nor will it ever be. =D

If the HTC One doesn’t kill them, this most likely will. What a waste, a once legendary company now reduced to nothing more than a facebook lackey.

    Just saying, a 4.3 1280×720 display is 341 PPI, not 320.
So perhaps everything else is fake too.
