Russell over at MobileBurn.com is still working on his written review of the HTC Magic for Vodafone UK, but in the mean time I have spliced together all of the high-def video footage he has shot and uploaded the videos to YouTube.

    A really good interesting review – basically the Magic is a G1 without the keyboard, no shutter button (so no ‘half-press’ focus), and it’s a little thinner, but it’s got a flashing trackball.

    The Cupcake update seems to have addressed most if not all of the G1′s initial shortcomings, T-Mobile should be asking the websites to re-review it, my gripe is the lack of a built-in PDF reader, but the Googlemail client handles that better than before (still not perfect though), also the Cupcake update has introduced an annoyance in that you can’t show pictures from the secondary “email” programme, which you could before.

    The screen is gorgeous and really snappy. I wish my G1′s trackball lit up like that, its a very nice feature taken from the Sidekick. Very nice looking phone.
