HTC M7 may be announced as early as February 19, less than a week before MWC

It’s naturally assumed that most of the big device announcements as of late will take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month. However, unknown sources are stating that the HTC M7 may in fact be announced sooner.

What will become the second 1080p device to be released by HTC, the M7 will undoubtedly generate quite a bit of excitement. HTC might be aiming to shine a more noticeable spotlight on the device by initiating its own announcement event.

While MWC takes place between February 25-28, it seems that there is a possibility that HTC will announce the M7 less than a week prior, on February 19, in different location, possibly London. Keep in mind that this rumor is far from confirmed at this time, however it would actually make sense seeing as HTC isn’t a stranger to product announcements in London.

While we don’t know the full details of the device for sure, we can only assume that they will be somewhat on par with what we heard from a different report earlier this month. This means we could be seeing a 4.7-inch display paired with a 1.7GHz Snapdragon Pro CPU, sporting the latest version of Android and possibly a new version of Sense UI. Other rumored features include a 12MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera, making this device a photo junkie’s dream.

To fuel this rumor even further, another source states that the device will debut on AT&T, with releases on Verizon and Sprint to follow. Remember to take this with a grain of salt until you hear otherwise!

i can tell that this phone will be a fail without even seeing it, if it doesn’t use T4 or s800, HTC are done for. s4 pro is a 2012 chip, not a 2013 chip.

      Agreed..

Don’t think we’ll be seeing those chips till Q3 in any phone so you can’t really say they’re behind.

the exynos 4 quad chip in the note 2 is on par with the droid DNA. also, i think we’ll be seeing exynos 5 octa in the s4, for one sole reason, marketing. and of course pure power

That is for sure. Too be honest of course everyone knows that android isn’t optimized for octocore and all that but if Samsung decides not to put octocore in it people will bash on it.

stop saying the same bull as intel :) and anyway, the phone will never use more than 4-5 cores at a time

I want that wallpaper anyone know if it’s available??

Why not just freaking stick up with the order of the capacitive buttons? Seriously, switching spots between multitasking and the home button is a bad idea. Other than that, the phone looks great and the specs are good enough. I don’t think that the Exynos 5 will be released before Q3 or start of Q4.

It cracks me up when people already have made a decision to hate a phone based on rumours…ridiculous…n of course its not gonna use the new qually 800 chip..it won’t be ready till atleast Q3…by then next years devic will be almost ready..I bet the S4 doesn’t see the octa like rumored either..seems everyone puts the best into rumours for the S4 but knock the m7 …amazes me
