An alleged prototype of the rumored HTC Holiday has been spotted again. This time, on eBay–along with photos and several details about its hardware specs.
eBay user “voteccow” sold the prototype for US$800 yesterday to an unspecified buyer. The item’s description page shows that the HTC Holiday prototype runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 and is hooked up to the AT&T network. Power charging is done through a MicroUSB port.
The seller mentions that the 4.5-inch qHD touch panel screen still works fine even if the digitizer is cracked. The purchased item comes with the handset’s battery.
Other details/specs listed on the description page are as follows:
The handset in the photos seem to look very much like the handset–cracked screen and all–that appeared in photos of an HTC Holiday prototype reportedly sold on Craigslist last month. Another set of photos were also leaked last month, but the HTC Holiday unit on those photos didn’t have a connector or port of some sort at the bottom right of the back cover, which the eBay and Craigslist photos had.
The HTC Holiday is rumored for AT&T and will pack enough punch to compete with the recently launched U.S. variants of the Samsung Galaxy S II and the yet-to-be-launched Motorola DROID Bionic on Verizon Wireless.
The -ber months are here, signaling that the holidays are near. With the HTC Holiday coming, that’s one more Android phone to consider for your holiday shopping. What Android phones are on your holiday shopping list?
