HTC Hero / T-Mobile G2 Touch video review

HTC Hero / T-Mobile G2 Touch video review

As promised, here’s the 3 part HD video review of the HTC Hero / T-Mobile G2 Touch for Europe.  Russell might have gone a bit overboard here, giving us over 30 minutes of footage, but there was just so much HTC Sense goodness in the Hero that he just couldn’t help himself.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.  It’s not as good as using one yourself, but it’s damn close.

Part 1 is directly below, and parts 2 and 3 are available after the jump.  The full text review that goes with the videos will be posted on MobileBurn.com in the next day or two.  I’ll keep you posted.

The reviewer doesn’t give much of an opinion on the phone; it’s not really a review, more of a showcase.

The full written review is now available and goes into more complete detail and opinions.

I just want to say thanks for taking the time to record such a useful review. I do agree with a previous comment that it’s perhaps more of a showcase than review since you don’t really give pros and cons of using some of the functions, but actually this “showcase” is if anything just as useful. Reviews tend to be personal opinions and I think they’re only useful for phones if based on long-term usage, I wanted to see the phone in action and you gave me an extensive view of that. I’ve watched all of it, well done and thanks.

I never got to writing the actual review, which would have listed the pros and cons quite clearly. It was a matter of timing, and I just couldn’t get everything done that needed to be done. Sometimes that happens.

In the end, though, there are very few cons on the Hero. Rock solid device. I have some concerns about the metal plating chipping off, as it did on mine around the back button, and I certainly would have preferred more battery life, but that’s probably the extent of my cons list, while the pros list is quite extensive. The phone does most everything well.

great phone. love the touch screen. definately a big upgrade from my last unlocked touch screen phones. very happy. processor is faster, phone is a little bigger and it’s very practical and easy to use. it’s easy to navigate around the phone and the apps are fun and keep me busy during long waits. very happy with my new unlocked mobile phones. games and facebook keep my fiance happy and quiet during meetings and business trips. my daughter loves hers for the camera and recorder. she’s always taking pictures. also got our cell phone unlock codes and samsung unlocking for free. got our last two g2′s at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up
