Virgin Media in the UK confirmed that its HTC Desire and Wildfire handsets will be getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update in September. Via its Twitter account, Virgin Media tweeted “MOBILE: HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire – great news, we’re expecting to release OTA updates to 2.2 (Froyo) early Sep :).” Right on schedule with HTC’s statement that Froyo would roll out starting Q3 of this year.
