HTC Butterfly S

The HTC Butterfly S is close to being launched, and now more details seem to have emerged about the device, if we are to believe a recent report.

According to Focus Taiwan, quoting company sources, the device, which will be shown to the world at a June 19 press event taking place in Taiwan, will only come with 16GB of internal memory.

Hopefully, rumors about the device will be confirmed, and HTC will add a micro SD slot to the device, which it has done for the J Butterfly, but not for the HTC Droid DNA variant.

The same source also mentioned a price for the device, which is said to cost around 20,000 Taiwan dollars, or around $670.

Other details about the device are very scarce, but most rumors mention a 5-inch Full HD display and a faster processor than the one its predecessor has been using. As I mentioned, a micro SD slot is also mentioned, and so is a larger battery, so you can get more use out of the smartphone.

Nothing else is known but, with only a week left until the press event, it’s safe to assume that some more details will come out. If they do, you can be sure you’ll know the moment we find out.

I don’t understand the point of this phone, or its predissecor the DNA. The DNA was very smilar to the HTC one in terms of specs and this seems only slightly better so will probably be equal or better then the HTC one which will justmake the one pointless. Can ssomeone explain htc’s strategy with these phones??

The aesthetics design of Butterfly (“Japan-Style”) was proven to be quite popular in Asia countries. The limited pink edition was extremely popular among females in Taiwan.
