It will be Canada’s turn to be amazed by the high-end image capabilities of the HTC Amaze 4G, which is now en route to TELUS Canada and arriving on November 4.
A tipster has generously provided MobileSyrup a leaked screenshot of the mobile phone’s official release date and corresponding prices culled from an internal TELUS document.
The device will carry a price of CA$100 with 3-year contract with TELUS. A two-year contract with the carrier will raise the cost a bit to CA$500, and a one-year contract will put the phone price at CA$550. Full retail price of the HTC Amaze comes at an amazing CA$600.
Formerly codenamed the HTC Ruby, the HTC Amaze 4G runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with the HTC Sense 3.0 user interface on top.
The device will also fascinate its consumer with its embedded high-end image capabilities. The smartphone will pack an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. The primary camera will sport a f/2.2 wide-angle lens, together with a backside illuminated sensor and dual-LED flash. Plus, the device is capable of 1080p High Definition video recording.
Also included under the hood are a 4.3-inch touchscreen (540×960 qHD resolution), 1.5-GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 1730-mAh battery, Bluetooth 3.0, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The question, however, is whether the HTC Amaze will amaze the Canadians. What do you think?
