HP’s first Android tablet, the 7-inch Slate 7, will be available in the UK starting with May 1, and it will be quite affordable priced at £129.

The device can be already ordered on HP’s UK site, and will ship in “1-2 weeks,” although, as you can see in the image below, the retailer clearly lists May 1 as a launch date for the tablet.

Let’s hear it from our UK readers, are you looking forward to buy this affordable HP Android tablet, or are you waiting for a new Nexus to come along? Before you make up your mind you can also check out our Nexus 7 vs Slate 7 comparison and video above.

More late to the game, sub par hardware from HP. I’ll take the Nexus 7 for just a little bit more money. I’m sure HP will discontinue manufacturing and support of this in a few months.
