The fortunate folks over at NewGadgets.de have gotten themselves a first hands on with an actual production unit of the world’s thinnest tablet – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Check out the great hands on video below, and the pictures as well to get an idea of how fantastically thin this particular tablet is.It’s shocking to think about, and will no doubt sell enormously well. While we were initially suspect after Samsung changed the rear camera from 8MP to 3MP, and then only offered to show us dummy models of what to expect, it’s great to now see a fully functioning model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 in action.
Hands on video:

Specs:

  • Ultra svelte and compact k 9.09 x 6.21 x 0.34-inch (230.9 x 157.8 x 8.6-mm) tablet
  • Lightest tablet in the world at 16.58 oz, or 470 g
  • dual-core 1GHz chipset
  • 8.9-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display
  • HSPA+ connectivity, with WiFI and Bluetooth

Also, check out when the new Samsung Galaxy Tablets are set to be released!
