GroupMe 4.0 is out with new UI and better support for Android tablets

If for some reason you prefer to connect to the outside world using GroupMe — instead of using Whatsapp or Viber — you will want to head to Google Play now to grab the latest version of the messaging app.

GroupMe 4.0 comes with a completely redesigned interface. The chat windows are now easier to read and you can easily switch between them by tapping on the left drawer. You can upload bigger photos in chats, as well as bigger avatars for your group. If you want to send a direct message, you can do so by clicking on the avatars.

The update also allows you to enjoy a new tablet UI when you run it on your tablet, which apparently has been requested by users forever. Other new features include the ability to share your location with a small map and share your group with others using a simple URL.

Sounds exciting? Before you make the jump, the reviews on the Play Store seem to indicate that you won’t be able to use Emoji anymore. If you’re fine with that, click the link below to get the update.
