Google TV

According to the New York Times, Google, Intel and Sony have decided to get together and develop an Android powered internet platform based on the Intel Atom processors for televisions and set-top boxes. The general idea behind the project is to make viewing web applications such as YouTube, Twitter or Picasa just like changing the channel on your TV at home.

Logitech are alleged to be involved with the things they do best, peripherals. There really are no other details than this at the moment, but we do not expect the New York Times to be blowing out hot air unless they have it on good authoity that something meaty is actually going to come of this high-profile collaboration. We’ll keep you posted
