Google Talk with Video to be announced at Google I/O?

Google-Video-Chat-Coming-to-Android-2.3

In the world of Android, rumors are our lifeline. A credible rumor in the form of a recent tweet from an individual that allegedly works for/with Samsung, claims to have tested a Nexus S handset running Android 2.3.4 and used GTalk video calling on the device. The current version of Android Gingerbread shipping with the Nexus S is Android 2.3.3.

Accurate, reasonable estimates peg total tablet sales in the range of around 50-60 million this year alone. Considering the sheer number of Honeycomb tablets set to be sold in 2011 that come with video chat capable GTalk preinstalled, we think that it is likely that Google will debut this feature for Android smartphones too. With Google I/O 2011 happening on May 10 in San Francisco, you can be sure we will bring you all the significant details on what to expect with the future of Android!

While we are as guilty as the next site in contributing to the rumor mill, we believe that there is credibility to this one.

Is video chat you something you would use on your Android smartphone?

Hey, if it’s the chick in the screen-shots on the other end, I’d definitely use video chat! ;-)
