sprint nexus 6 promotion

If you’re a Sprint customer looking to buy Google’s Nexus 6 this weekend, you’re about to get a nice little freebie. Google is reportedly partnering with Sprint to offer Nexus 6 buyers $50 in Google Play Store credit, as long as you activate the phone by mid-January.

When you buy a Nexus 6 between Friday 11/28 and Monday 12/1, you’ll be able to redeem your credit. There are a few rules and regulations with this deal, so listen up. The device needs to be activated on Sprint’s network by 1/15/15, at which point you’ll receive a redemption code via text message from Sprint. The credit needs to be entered to your Google Play account by 1/31/15, then you have a full year to use it, just like usual. You can purchase the Nexus 6 online or in-store from Sprint, so rest assured you’ll get one, if you’re concerned about that.

It would be nice to see Google taking $50 off the price of the Nexus 6 rather than give it in the form of Play Store credit, but we’ll take what we can get. This should help soften the blow for people who are concerned about the price, as the cost of the phone is still throwing Nexus fans for a loop.

It is important to note that neither Google or Sprint has officially confirmed this deal, though we imagine an announcement is imminent.Do you think you’ll take advantage of this promotion? If so, hit us up in the comments!
