Today, Google announced a hardware event for October 6, 2022 at 10 AM ET. The company’s website confirmed that this will be the launch of the Google Pixel 7 series and Pixel Watch.
The launch will be an in-person show in Brooklyn, NY. This would mark the first in-person Pixel launch since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Google Pixel 7 is probably going to be an iterative upgrade over last year’s Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Google has already shown off the devices in official imagery, which assures us the phones don’t have a dramatic redesign this year. We also know the phones will come with the second generation of Tensor, Google’s proprietary SoC.
It’s possible Google could have other hardware in store for us as well, although the Pixels and the Watch are the only real givens.
