Yesterday, Google announced on the Google Code blog the dates for next years I/O event, which will take place in the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, April 24-25th. According to Monica Tran, of the Developer Marketing Team, registration details are coming soon. As soon as they do arrive we will let you in on all the details.

Google I/O has become one of the biggest events of the year for tech enthusiasts, like all of you, and of course, everyone here at Android Authority. In fact, last year, tech gifts of the special version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 were given out to the attendees. Although getting tickets is a hard thing to do indeed. But Google does come up with some creative ways to give them away.

But before we get to Google I/O 2012, we have the big Samsung/Google event later on today which will feature the Galaxy Nexus or the Nexus Prime along with the announcement of Ice Cream Sandwich and all of its yummy goodness. We also have in just a few short hours, an announcement from Motorola coming soon, too. Which we are almost 100% sure it will be the much rumored Droid RAZR.

What do you think they will give away at I/O in 2012?
