ChinaKnowledge.com is reporting that yesterday Google extended an invitation to join the Open Handset Alliance to Taiwan’s ASUS. ASUS has been making Windows Mobile based smartphones for some time, and would probably be a decent fit for future Android OS development.
ASUS has been gaining a lot of brand recognition power lately due to its wildly successful Eee line of low-cost, low-power notebook computers.
