Google introduces Scoreboard sports tracker for Android

Google are starting to roll out the bells and whistles for Android; the little bits that make Android that much more special. For instance, say hello to Google’s Scoreboard App!

This is a complete package. It’s all about sports, and if you’re into them this is something you will be interested in. When you wack open the application after installing it you are presented with a wide selection of icons depicting (American) sports such as Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, and National Football League.

You can select the team you support for each sport and ignore the sports you do not follow. However, given how easy this application is to use, you may find yourself getting into games you never really cared for prior to Scoreboard. You can be alerted to the scores, results and standings of the teams and games you are into. Scoreboard makes full use of the touch functionally of the G1 and Android OS and we look forward to seeing what other types of applications Google release of the coming new year.
