Anyone facing an error logging into Google Discover isn’t alone, as there’s an error currently plaguing the service on various Android devices that is preventing many from logging in.

Many users have reported seeing an error saying, “It looks like there was an error signing in to your account,” and a crossed-out cloud icon. There’s a button labeled Try Again, but tapping it doesn’t seem to fix the problem at all. That means nothing loads in the feed, thus preventing users from seeing any of their personalized content.

Everything else within the Google app appears to be working correctly, so the error seems to be specifically related to Discover. Additionally, most of the reports are coming from users with Pixel devices, but some Samsung and Motorola devices are facing issues using Google Discover as well.

The reports first started popping up yesterday, and it appears that they’re still coming out this morning.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be a fix for the problem. Users have reported trying logging out and logging back in with the same account or clearing the Google app’s cache, but the problem appears to be on Google’s side. We’ll have to wait for Google to work out a fix before the issue will go away.
