Last summer, roughly 2,000 Google I/O 12 attendees signed up with Glass, joining Google on their exciting journey. Today, Google notified I/O 12 Glass Explorers that the first production devices were coming off the production lines. Google said they aren’t going to wait until the entire order has been fulfilled and will be shipping the initial devices as soon as possible. This could mean that Glass just might potentially ship in the next few days. Google will begin notifying Glass “Pioneers” in waves as they continue to produce enough for everyone. When yours is ready, Google will send you another email with all of the required information.

It’s about to real exciting. The future, wearable computing, is almost here.

[UPDATE:] It seems some Glass Explorers are ordering Glass already and some are even planning on picking their Glass units up on site tomorrow afternoon.
