What? Another Zombie game? Gameloft certainly thinks there’s still room for one more seemingly mindless but hopefully fun game, where the main objective is to kill a bunch of wandering zombies. The game, aptly entitled Zombiewood, isn’t out yet for a couple of more weeks – as the game company is possibly aiming for a Halloween release – but the latest trailer is ready for your viewing.

Judging from the trailer, Zombiewood isn’t meant as a realistic portrayal of the undead at all, as the graphics on the game have a certain cartoonish look to them. At least it’s a break from the last few crops of Zombie-themed games that have crawled into our devices, though not entirely unique.

As for the gameplay, the 3D isometric game means you will find yourself in the streets of Hollywood killing zombies with your choice of weapons, which range from laser guns and rocket launchers to flame throwers and more.

Since the trailer is pretty short, we can’t tell you much more beyond that. But here’s a list of features of Zombiewood, as given by the developer:

• Unlock and Upgrade wicked and wild weapons – from flame throwers to rocket launchers
• Mix and match with comical, outlandish and scary outfits – including Frankenstein, American Footballer and SWAT team guy
• Cause destruction in LA and Santa Monica by shredding through wave after wave of crazy zombies
• Star in a range of entertaining movies while playing through unique game modes including survival, escort, barricade and marathon
