Usually, custom recoveries utilize the device's physical buttons to interact with the tool. You can use the Volume keys to navigate and the Home or Power button to select an option. But, there are also flavors of custom recoveries, such as TWRP Recovery 2.2.0, that allows you to use the devices'
touchscreen to interact with the tool.

Some Android tablets don't have any physical buttons, making it impossible to interact with custom recovery requiring those physical buttons. That is where TWRP Recovery came to the scene. This custom recovery lets you use the tool by just tapping on the screen. TWRP Recovery became popular and began to expand to other Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510.

Senior XDA Developers member elegos shares a guide on how to install TWRP Recovery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510. Using this tool, you can now interact and perform recovery operations by just tapping on the tablet's screen.

Read on to learn how to install TWRP Recovery for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510.

Instructions

  1. Extract the Odin ZIP package into a convenient location on your PC (preferably on the Desktop so you can easily find it).
  2. Double-click odin3 v1.85.exe from within the extraction folder in order to run Odin on your PC.
  3. Turn off your tablet.
  4. Reboot the tablet into Download Mode, as follows:
    1. Hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons. (Volume Down is the key near the Power button.)
    2. Release the Power button when the Samsung Galaxy Tab logo appears, but keep the Volume Down button held down.
    3. Release the Volume Down button once you see the two icons on the tablet’s screen.
    4. Using the Volume Down button, make sure the icon for Download Mode (Android mascot with the word “Downloading” underneath) is highlighted.
    5. Press the Volume Up button to go into Download Mode.
  5. Connect your tablet to your PC via USB cable.
  6. Odin should be able to detect your tablet and display the message “Added!” on the message box.  If Odin fails to detect your tablet, check that your tablet's drivers have been properly installed on your PC.
  7. Click the PDA button in Odin.
  8. Select the recovery.tar.md5 that you downloaded earlier.
  9. Leave everything else in Odin unchanged.  Only “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” should be ticked.
  10. Click the Start button in Odin.  This begins the flashing process.  The process doesn't take long, usually only about 2 to 5 minutes.
  11. Your tablet will automatically reboot.  Once it shows the Samsung logo, you can safely detach the tablet from your PC.

Congratulations!  You've successfully flashed ClockworkMod Recovery 5.5.0.4 on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510.

This does not seem to work for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Gt-7510) – it only comes up to a TeamWin splash screen and does nothing else.
You would need to find the latest ClockworkMod Recovery (they have a touch recovery now – v5.8.3.1). Follow the same instructions only pick the ClockWorkMod Recovery file.
      Hope that helps.
