T-Mobile has now received over 300,000 pre-registrations for the Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy S5 hands on color size vs all -1160803

After Samsung took the veil of the Galaxy S5, we began to hear quite a few mixed opinions about Samsung’s latest member of the Galaxy S family. In particular, there were a large number of folks that were disappointed that the GS5 didn’t see a major hardware/software overhaul.

That said, not everyone seems to feel that way about the Galaxy S5. Earlier today, T-Mobile revealed that over 300,000 people have signed up for more information about the handset, making it clear that there are folks interested in learning more about the Galaxy S4’s successor.

Of course, “registering interest” isn’t the same thing as saying you absolutely want to buy the Galaxy S5. Not to mention that the numbers are likely inflated by the fact that registering for the GS5 enters you into a contest that gives you the chance to win a free Galaxy S5.

Still, we have to admit this is a fairly high number, especially when you consider that T-Mobile is the smallest out of the four major U.S. carriers. The big question is how many of the people pre-registering actually plan to buy the handset if they don’t win it for free. Now that the dust has settled a little, what do you think of the Galaxy S5? Planning on picking one up or are you more interested in next-gen devices from Sony, HTC and LG?

Looks like this thing is going to sell pretty well.

        Of course it will.

Well yeah it’s not hard to get 300000 registrations if you are offering a free S5 everyday.

If HTC or Sony did it we won’t be seeing numbers as huge as that.

No it would have been the same thing, this is not preorders numbers, just registration numbers to get informed when the device is released and the incentive is to enter to win an S5 every day, if it was the New One or the Z2 it would have been the same thing I know people in the US, that dislikes the S5 but entered to win one it’s still a 600$+ phone for free.

Exactly! This was due to the contest they are running. I filled one out and I’m already a T-Mobile customer using a Nexus 5. I just want a chance to win a second phone.

That’s just the number 4 Carrier! I am sure the S5 will sell just fine.

Kick ass? nope even the Note 3 is a better product if you ask me, unless they put on sale for under 400$ which will not happen
