The Galaxy S5 will become available for pre-order on Friday, March 28, Samsung UK announced today. The device will start shipping on April 11.
The Galaxy S5 will go up for pre-order on Samsung’s e-store, the company’s flagship experience store in the Stratford Westfield City shopping center, and from “select retailers.” Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U are two of the outlets that confirmed they would put the flagship on pre-order on March 28. Samsung has earlier announced the Galaxy S5 would go on sale in over 150 countries starting with April 11, but actual release dates will vary with each carrier and market.
Samsung UK has not revealed any pricing information yet, but from the price tags attached to it in the countries where the Galaxy S5 has already been put up for pre-order, we expect it to be in line with the Galaxy S4. Currently, retailer Handtec lists the device for £545.99.

Judging from previous launches, we expect a flurry of pre-order announcements to hit in the next few weeks, including from the top US carriers, which all confirmed they will be carrying Samsung’s latest star.
