The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has been around for a while, but up until now the only way to get the device in the United States was to buy it off-contract, independently from U.S. carriers. That changes later this month, as AT&T has now announced that the Galaxy S4 Zoom will be arriving to their network on November 8th.
The GS4 Zoom will be priced at $199.99 with a new contract, or for $25 a month through AT&T Next. As with other Samsung devices, the GS4 Zoom also includes a free Galaxy Tab 3 with purchase, though a separate tablet data plan will be required for the device.
Similarly to the Galaxy S4 Mini, the S4 Zoom shares very little with the “original” Galaxy S4 beyond the handset’s name. The Zoom is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU with just 1.5GB RAM. Other specs include 8GB memory, microSD, a 1.9MP front cam, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 960×540 resolution and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz.
As you can see, nothing too exciting here. The redeeming fact is that the phone’s back shooter is a 16MP camera with 10x optical zoom, OIS 24-240 and Xenon Flash. The end result is a decent enough mid-range phone that also includes a pretty solid P&S camera experience.

So how about it, anyone interested in picking this one up or are the handset’s mid-range specs too much of a turn off for the price?

JUST BUY A CAMERA FFS
Samsung reminds me of a Japanese anime. The kind that keeps introducing separate plots to the main one and then never adressing them afterward.
