Hey Android users, are you ready for a weekend wild rumor? And we did have quite a few Android rumors lately related either to future Nexus devices or to the upcoming Galaxy S4.

Today we’re looking at some reportedly leaked AnTuTu Benchmark screenshots that seem to confirm some important features for Samsung’s fourth-generation smartphone, the processor and out-of-the-box Android build.

According to these images, the Galaxy S4 – or model number GT-I9500 for international markets and model number SHV-E300S for South Korea – will pack Samsung’s newly announced eight-core processor, the Exynos 5 Octa, running at 1.8GHz. The same images reveal that the Galaxy S4 will run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

In case you didn’t know, the GT-I9500 has been almost confirmed to be the model number of the Galaxy S4, while the SHV-E300S product number is awfully close to the Galaxy S3′s model number for the same region (SHV-E300)

No matter how great it all sounds, we’ll remind you to take everything with a chunk of salt until we can get more details on the device. After all, some things can  always be faked to generate buzz around a specific device.

That said, it would make plenty of sense to see the new Galaxy S model run Google’s latest version – at least assuming it hits stores before Google unveils Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie – but also Samsung’s latest processor.

On the other hand, we will remind you that we just heard a few days ago that a Samsung exec has apparently confirmed that the Exynos 5 Octa will be found on board of the Galaxy Note 3 later this year, but did not mention anything about the Galaxy S4.

We’ll be back with more news once we have it, meanwhile let us hear what you’d like to see inside the Galaxy S4.

Nexus 3?? You got me excited until I realized you meant to say note 3.

      • Chris Smith

Yeah, my fingers were disconnected from my brain for a second there.

    • kascollet

Seems like Antutu scores are above 20 000, that’s quite a monster !

no, this is fake. if you go to the antutu app, you can download a benchmark faker…. also, A Exynos 5 octa CPU is about 4x more powerful than s4 pro. and s4 pro scores 19000

      • pere

so if s4pro scores 19000 that doesn’t mean that exynos octa will make and 4x, just because cortex a9 is half as powerful as s4pro krait, that doesn’t mean that quad core cortex a9 scores 8000

      • kascollet

Scores for S4 Pro phones are more in the 13K-14K range. 20K would represent a 50% compute power increase for the A15 architecture as those are both quad-cores. That’s very good. What’s your point ?

plz download antutu on your phone. and see.

Since the update to AnTuTu 3, the Nexus 4 jump up to 17K and the Droid DNA to 19K.

          i get 18900 on my s3 with 4.2.1 :)

What about Intel? I’ve heard about Lenovo K900 scored 24000 scores

Quote from manual would suggest the dual core CPU in the phone.. Considering the Dual core was designed for “high-end tablets”.. It wouldn’t make much sense for them to use the octo-core.

Exynos 5 Dual is designed for high-end tablets that require
multi-window operations, full multitasking, and fast response
while running applications. Exynos 5 Dual is the first chip in the
market to integrate Cortex-A15 dual core.
The computing capability of Cortex-A15 dual core is similar to
the CPU of a personal computer. The DMIPS/MHz of Cortex-
A15 is 40% higher than the older generation Cortex-A9 core.adsf

I believe it’s fake. Until it’s proved otherwise.

Any specs that blow you away are going to be fake. Year after year we always hear the next Galaxy phone will have unbelievable specs & when the specs are released everyone is disappointed.

Its going to have a 1.6-1.7 Quad core and 1080p screen at 4.9-5.0 inches. And maybe have 13mp camera. Why will Samsung put a 8 core processor in this years phone? Samsung know they just have to match hardware and they will out sell there competition. I’m sure Samsung will implement some cool new software too.

My biggest concern about the galaxy SIV is if are true the rumors spreaded about the Exynos 5 Octa will be equiped with a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU. I think it is very unlikely, but Samsung didn’t launch any concrete information about their next flagshp smarphones and SoCs yet.

I hope note 3 gets stock key-lime pie, that’d be sweet

      if this is true…
      Why only 1.8GHZ? A15 can reach 2.5GHZ

      • http://twitter.com/NHowell14 Nicoli

that would be due to power consumption im sure. You’re car’s 4-banger could puch out 400+ instead its doing 200, primarily due to gas consumption.
