The Galaxy S4 rumors and leaks are just pouring in these days, so get ready for more details about Samsung’s 2013 flagship device.
After hearing straight from Samsung that the handset will not make it to MWC in Spain next month, a new report from Asia said earlier today that the South Korean giant will announce the device at a special U.S.-based Mobile Unpacked event set to take place in March. At the time, we speculated that the Galaxy S4 could hit stores in late March or early April in case the rumor turned out to be true.
Now, Sam Mobile provides more details on the Galaxy S4 release date, and it all seems to fall in line quite nicely with the former report.
The publication says that the handset – codenamed “Altius(J)” – will start shipping from week 16 of the year, or around April 15. That certainly makes sense if the product will indeed be unveiled in March.
Moreover, the Galaxy S4 will feature wireless charging and a 2600mAh battery according to the same source. The Altius will come in black and white initially, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see it in more colors later down the road.
We’re also going to remind you the rest of the rumored specs and features: 4.99-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, eight-core Exynos 5 Octa CPU, eight-core Mali-T658 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera with Full HD video recording, 2-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Naturally, there’s no confirmation from Samsung for any of these leaks, whether we’re talking about announcements, release dates or specs and features, so be prepared to see more similar reports down the road.

& That’s The MY First Smartphone ;)
thought they would of put more ram. sounds alright thou.. seems a bit big at 5 inch
2 gb is large enough and everybody makes 5 inchers except for Apple (though it’s rumored that HTC m7 will have 4,7″ screen with 486PPI!
Hey But what about S-Pen added or not ???????????
I think that’s exclusive to the Note series.
8 cores? WTH?
4 cortex a-15 for power, 4 cortex a-7 for power effiency, all the 8 cores will never run at the same time (unless some custom roms will get that feature)
no, your wrong. all cores CAN run at the same time. The big cores help out the little cores, and the little, the big. Google it. any combination of cores can be active at the same time.
Can, but probably will not
NO, the do, you won’t have a octa core CPU all the time, but when you are doing extreme multitasking, you’ll be running all cores, big ones for heavy tasks, small for the lighter ones.
Really? :O That must be some heavy tasking if 4 cortex a-15 cores can’t handle it alone!
lets put it this way, with a exynos 5 octa you could, watch a FULL HD video, while playing Need for speed most wanted, while downloading and updating all android apps on your phone, while playing music, while using the navigation app, while watching a flash video, and doing all that… without a single lagg, all at 60FPS. not that you would ever do that, but you can if you want :) oh and, 4 a15 cores alone wouldn’t handle all that :)
I’d like to see that xD
they demoed something along the lines of that at the keynote
Mm.. can’t wait! It will be a device that is no longer Snapdragon S4 Pro and LCD 1080p display just like all the other manufacturers out there.
I am looking forward to this phone. I am impressed with the capability of the S3, so I’m expecting the 4 to blow me away.
My most anticipated devices of 2013, the GS4 and the PS4.
NO, the s4 and the 720.
no, the s4 and gameboy color HD!
I am right with you on that, cant wait for them both 2013 is going to be a good year!!!!!!
That would bea pity, a expected to battery to land in the 3000mAh ballpark – an 5″er @ 1080p & 4 A15 cores requires as much and the Note 2 did so well in the juice department. C’mon, we don’t mind another mm in thickness for another 12 hours of usage!
that’s why there’s the powersaving octa!
Rumors are also PowerVR gpu not only Mali . And for Mali, Mali T-658 are removed from arm page.. It should be Mali T-678… As for battery my logic is saying that they will use the system with S2 and S3..Their own bigger battery extendend kit 3000mAh because if they landed with 3000 mah they would be forced to produce 3300-3400 and that would affect on the size….
I hope it will finally have the option to calibrate the screen.
