Finally, with its bootloader unlocked, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 can now fully enjoy the benefit of getting more custom ROMs. This is all thanks to the dedication and hard work from the development community.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is on everyone's mind and with good reason. This most recent update is faster and smoother than previous Android versions. Even if this platform was based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the platform is absolutely unique. Everyone just wants to get a taste of it and now, you can too.

Among the first custom ROMs based on Android 4.1.1 is the AOKP Jelly Bean ROM. XDA Developers members kwes1020 and xoomdev compiled this unofficial AOKP build.

This ROM is not an official Samsung ROM but only a custom ROM. You may encounter some issues or bugs, and some features may not be available or may not be working.

This guide shows you how to upgrade the Galaxy S3 I535 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via AOKP Jelly Bean ROM (unofficial).

I followed the instructions to a T but when the phone rebooted I was faced with the “system software not authorized by verizon wireless” message. I used the 1 Click Boot Loader Unlocker and when the phone reboots I even seen a lock icon that is unlocked. Anyway to fix things I had to use odin and the stock UN ROOTED rom then odin again with the rooted STOCK ROM. Any ideas how to get around this VZW BS

EZ-UNLOCK app from play store…it’s free…simply hit unlock, then try this again it works perfect, no message from verizon

@facebook-776695407:disqus I got the same soft brick. I don’t think you can use this on i535 with the locked boot loader, even if you’re rooted.

I’m not so sure I like Paranoid’s Rom…but then again, I might love it..I really don’t know how I feel. What am I supposed to love/hate about it?

With the rom installed I can no longer hear music out of external speakers when using the samsung s3 docking station. Music only plays out of the phone speakers. Anyway to fix this?
