With only 12 days left until the big unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S3, consumers aren’t the only ones getting anxious about the super phone. Amazon Germany, as spotted by the folks at BestBoyz, may have jumpstarted an online retailer war by having the product page of the Galaxy S3 up on their website quite early in the game.

The listing of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Amazon reveals specs that fall pretty much within what have already been speculated before, and there have been a lot of speculations, to say the least. The phone is to come with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, 12MP camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 16GB internal storage.  One interesting tidbit of information is the price of the phone listed there, which is set at €599 or $790.

The specs listed by Amazon Germany of the Samsung Galaxy S3 might be just a placeholder information. After all, if they couldn’t get the display detail right (Super AMOLED instead of the expected Super AMOLED Plus?) – it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the information. Plus, there’s no picture of the device, boohoo.

The Amazon Germany listing isn’t the only information coming out from the European continent regarding the Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung’s Facebook page in Denmark has put up a teaser picture that spells out the launch date. We’re guessing the “20.00” refers to the time. Also, that plus sign can mean a number of things, such as the plus in Super AMOLED + or maybe the plus in “Galaxy S2+”. We’ll have to wait and see.

In case you missed the last bout of rumors, the “Galaxy S3” was apparently caught on video on a Vietnamese website. Our readers are now debating whether it’s the real deal or not. Feel free to join the discussion there.

On one hand, hats off to Samsung’s marketing department for successfully creating an insane amount of hype of the Galaxy S3 phone. On the other, we won’t blame you if you are somewhat suffering from rumor fatigue. But when you finally have it in your hand, you’ll probably look back at the rumors with fond memories. Or not.
