The world is hungry to learn more about the Galaxy S3, and every last piece of information that is at least remotely related to Samsung’s future flagship is dissected and stuck under the microscopes of countless Android fanatics, us included.
Yesterday, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has entered production and that carriers and retailers are overwhelming Samsung with preorders. The same source, a tweet from legendary Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, confirmed previous rumors regarding the supposed ceramic casing of the Galaxy S3. Corroborated with previous gossip, the latest report sketches an attractive image for the successor of the S2. The general consensus (at least for now) is this: the new S3 will rock a quad-core Exynos processor, will come with a generous 4.8-inch Super AMOLED+ display, and supposedly boast 2GB of RAM, although this last detail seems a little far-fetched. Anyway, if we were to describe the new S3 in one word, that word would be “superphone”.
But, what about its external appearance? Besides that ceramic casing and a reported 7mm-thin profile, we know little about how the Galaxy S3 will look like. PhoneArena begs to differ, claiming that an anonymous tipster slipped a purported picture of the S3 into their mailbox.
Here’s the image, in all its hi-res glory:
Unfortunately, as much as we would love to say this is the real deal, the over-sized, awkwardly Photoshop-ed font displayed on the device’s screen gives the image away as a fake, and not even a good one. However, chances are the Galaxy S3 may look pretty close to this rendering. We’ll have to wait and see.
What do you think? Would you like the Samsung Galaxy S3 to look like this?
