A lot of custom ROMs let you enjoy Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727. The CyanogenMod 10 and AOKP custom ROMs, for example, let you enjoy the pure Jelly Bean experience. But, if you want to try out a new Android skin and at the same time enjoy Jelly Bean goodness, you can try the MIUI.us v4.1 ROM on your mobile phone.

MIUI.us features a new look on your AT&T Galaxy S2 Skyrocket I727. Its design elements are a combination of the sleek designs of iOS and Android mixed into one ROM. The ROM also features some goodies such as theme support, custom stock apps, privacy features, and a lot more. Let's also not forget the sweet treats you can find in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Take note that this is not an official Samsung ROM for your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket I727. You might experience some bugs or malfunctioning features once you install this ROM to your phone.

This guide shows you how to upgrade the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket I727 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via the MIUI v4.1 ROM.

Seems to hang in a boot loop. Followed your instruction articles to:

    1.) One-click UCLF5
2.) Used ODIN to flash CWM v5.0.2.6
3.) Used CWM to flash the root file
4.) Dark wipe using the file you linked to
    5.) Flashed MIUI 2.9.29

    Have I done something wrong?

I’m having same boot loop issue. I was able to get all the way through the app install and to log in a few times, but then reboots. Tried wiping DW, D/C and C and re-flashed 4 times. same issue. Now my battery is dead so I’m recharging. Please let me know what you figure out.

After updating my CWM recovery to 6+ (touch), I was able to get this to boot. However, when trying to use the google search bar I get the dreaded “‘unfortunately google search has stopped” message. I tried to “clear data” and “clear cache” in the apps setting page for both google search and google framework, but no luck.
    Any ideas?

    • Tom

Answering my own question and logging here in case others run into the same.
      1) Delete widget
      2) Delete Google Search app
      3) Download fresh Google Search app from Play Store
      4) Add widget
      5) In app settings, clear all data for Google Search
      6) reboot
      .
