A quick browse around to the Android Authority website will let you know that there are just certain devices that developers are in love with. In fact, whenever a new update comes out, those devices are always the first to receive leaks, ports and stable custom ROMs. The Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100G, the more up-to-date variant of the popular Galaxy S2 GT-I9100, is definitely one of the apples of developers' eyes and is getting another injection of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
The Codename Android custom ROM, developed by XDA Developers member samyam2002000 and based off of Clean Android 4.1.1 Rev4, comes with a bunch of neat features. It has a File Manager baked into it, the T-Mobile Theme Manager, and the Trebuchet Custom Launcher. You can also set a custom ringtone delay. That isn't all there is in this custom ROM, of course. There are more. That's why you might want to load up your phone with it.
This guide shows you how to upgrade the Galaxy S2 I9100G to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via Codename Android ROM.
