We’ve heard of phones getting an injection of another phone’s UI, or tablets getting a dose of iOS, but the Android community decided to take things a step further by making our Android mobile phone a mini-tablet. Thanks to recognized XDA Developers member saranhai and Team Inferno, the Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 can be turned into a mini-tablet with CyanTablet 9. This ROM is based on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a full tablet interface. Based on CyanogenMod 9, this ROM is more than suitable and is stable enough to be used daily.

Since you’re squeezing in a tablet’s UI into a much smaller display, everything’s small and that includes the text and the icons. If you’ve got huge hands, that might be a bit of a problem for you, but if you’re willing to overlook the tiny scale of things to experience a tablet that fits into the palm of your hand, then jump right in and check out our instructions on how to load up your phone with a tablet interface.
