You’ve got to give the Android development community credit. The moment Google releases an update for its firmware, developers seize the chance and get straight to cooking something new for eager Android users. The recent IMM76K update for the Galaxy Nexus packed a few fixes together with a GSM connection fix. It didn’t take long before creators of the Elite ROM released an update as well. Based on IMM76K, the newest Elite ROM (version RC 1.2) gives Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 users a taste of the freshest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Like all ROMs in development, Elite ROM RC 1.2 still has some bugs that need resolving. There’s currently no definitive list of bugs for this release, so if you find any, make sure to report them to the developers.
